Join us for the first LA as Subject General Membership meeting of 2019. RSVP by Monday, February 4. Parking will be validated and free for two hours. Make sure to bring your parking ticket to the meeting for validation.
Note that meeting is taking place at the South Coast Corinthian Yacht Club, which is right next door to the Marina Del Rey Historical Society in Fisherman's Village.

- Mini Workshop! Cleaning Dirty Paper - This workshop led by Sue Luftschein of USC Special Collections will introduce members to a simple and effective way to gently clean dirty paper.
- A call for volunteers to join the 25th Anniversary planning committee
- Society of California Archivists and the Visual Resources Association - These professional organizations are having their annual meetings in Southern California this year. Find out how you can get involved.
- Upcoming Art + Feminism Wikipedia edit-a-thons - At these events, you can learn how to use your research expertise to make Wikipedia more diverse and accurate.
The historical society is right across the street from the Ballona Wetlands Ecological reserve, but Marina Del Rey itself was once Ballona Lagoon. There's a great Lost L.A. article and video about the history of the Ballona Creek watershed here.
