Orange Empire Railway Museum

Founded in 1956, the Orange Empire Railway Museum preserves the railway history of Los Angeles and Southern California. In addition to its large collection of full size railway cars and locomotives, its archives contains extensive materials on the Los Angeles Railway and Pacific Electric Railway, as well as the mainline railroads that served Southern California.

The Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area archives documents this park unit of the National Park Service.  The digital archives contain materials from individuals and organizations connected to the recreation area such as environmentalist Margot Feuer, Chumash Chief Charlie Cooke, scientist Margaret Stassforth, the Mountain Conservancy Foundation, and the Friends of Satwiwa.

Sisters of Social Service

Collections of the organization document the history of the Sisters in Los Angeles and California from 1926-present. Particular emphasis is given to Hungarian immigrant experience and social services with Hispanic neighborhoods. Southern California Genealogical Society
