The Fowler’s collections comprise more than 120,000 art and ethnographic and 600,000 archaeological objects representing ancient, traditional, and contemporary cultures of Africa, Native and Latin America, and Asia and the Pacific. From Yoruba beaded arts of Southern Nigeria, to pre-Columbian ceramic vessels of Peru, to elaborate batik textiles of Indonesia and the vibrant papier-mâché sculptures…

The museum has a display of warriors and a dance warrior depiction as well as items used for food preparation. There is an artifacts room with common instruments and daily tools used. Videos of dances, songs in Garifuna, paintings, and books about, for, and by Garinuga people. The heroes room has profiles of prominent Garifuna.

Mostly paper items issued prior to 1960 dealing with Southern California, particularly the Los Angeles area. The major emphasis is travel and railroads. Includes maps, timetables, pamphlets, folders, books, and sheet music.

The collection at the museum is an assortment of items from the 1800's through the 1900's. There are tools for the home and farm, furniture, household accessories, office equipment, documents, photographs, and all types of clothing.
