The Quinn Research Center contains materials related to the history of African Americans in the Santa Monica, Venice and Bay Area from the 1900s to the present. In it are newspaper articles, one of a kind magazines and newspapers published in Santa Monica during the 1940s, oral histories, and photographs. Also of interest are obituaries of Santa Monica and surrounding area residents, and original research on local social institutions, including postal employees and churches.
