The CSUDH Gerth Archives and Special Collections is proud to present “Will the Circle Be Unbroken: The Sacred Music of the African American Diaspora.”  This new exhibit is an exploration of African American sacred music and musicians from the Los Angeles area and their impact on both sacred and secular culture. The exhibit will include photographs, posters, programs, documents, music, and more from the Georgia and Nolan Payton Archive of Sacred Music and the African Diaspora Sacred Music and Musicians Archive.

The Grand Opening reception will take place on Thursday, February 20, from 4:30-6:30. The event will include speakers, a performance by the Albert McNeil Jubilee Singers, and a celebration of donor and honoree Dr. Albert McNeil’s 100th birthday.
