2020 marks the 25th Anniversary of L.A. as Subject, a unique collaborative working to preserve, celebrate, and promote the archives that document the rich stories of Los Angeles. This session will discuss the evolution of L.A. as Subject membership and what it indicates for the future of archive repositories-- from individual archive collections to neighborhood groups to institutionalized entities.
