Event Details

Since 1995, the HSLB has conducted an annual living history tour at the city’s two oldest cemeteries. Located on Willow Street between Orange and California avenues, the Long Beach Municipal Cemetery and adjacent Sunnyside Cemetery are “home” to more than 20,000 past residents of the area.

The tour takes place the last Saturday of October and features graveside performances by actors who relate the life and demise of the person[s] lying at rest. This year features 8 different vignettes about local residents, 4 lunch time presentations about local history, 3 food vendors, and the HSLB will have merchandise available with 3 of our favorite authors signing their books about Long Beach!

The tour is family-friendly and appropriate for all ages. There is nothing scary about the vignettes or the location.
