Founded in 1956, the Orange Empire Railway Museum preserves the railway history of Los Angeles and Southern California. In addition to its large collection of full size railway cars and locomotives, its archives contains extensive materials on the Los Angeles Railway and Pacific Electric Railway, as well as the mainline railroads that served Southern California.

Outfest's collection is based on sixteen years of presenting films and videos about the gay and lesbian community. Although much of the collection is not Los Angeles-based, Los Angeles is referenced a great deal. The collection contains approximately five hundred titles.

We have a large collection of ephemera relating to the San Fernando Valley- restaurant menus, newspapers, concert flyers, photography, post cards, and more- much of which was donated directly by community members.

Collection Description: Virginia Robinson Gardens, built in 1911, was the first estate in Beverly Hills. Today, it is listed on the national registry of historic sites.
