The collection at the museum is an assortment of items from the 1800's through the 1900's. Little Tokyo Historical Society commemorates the Japanese American history and heritage related to Little Tokyo in Los Angeles through archival collections, photos, videos, gallery exhibits, lectures, and workshops. This collection is limited to material from, and relative to, the history of the Los Angeles Police Department. The collection consists of retired and replica police vehicles, a retired helicopter and police motorcycles. The Los Angeles Unified School District’s (LAUSD) Art & Artifact Collection/Archive and Museum has amassed objects since the opening of the first district school in 1855. Artifacts and artworks are located at both schools and administrative sites.
