The USC Libraries are pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Liza Posas as L.A. as Subject Coordinator. Liza has served as interim L.A. as Subject coordinator for the last 18 months and has been instrumental in managing many L.A. as Subject activities, not the least of which was leading the volunteer program for the recent 5th-annual Los Angeles Archives Bazaar. As part of the L.A. as Subject Web and Technology Committee, Liza also collaborated closely with the USC team to develop the new L.A. as Subject website.
Among Liza’s first priorities will be to reestablish a series of archival workshops for L.A. as Subject members, help the membership expand their outreach capacity using the web and new media, and work with the L.A. as Subject executive committee on other projects to advance the organization’s mission of bringing to light the less-visible archives of Southern California history.
With this new online presence at www.laassubject.org, a wonderful sense of momentum coming off the recent 5th-anniversary Los Angeles Archives Bazaar, and Liza’s appointment as coordinator, this is an exciting time for L.A. as Subject. Expect to hear more from Liza soon.
