On Saturday February 4 the first joint meeting between LA as Subject (LAAS) and the Los Angeles Heritage Alliance (LAHA) took place at the historic Bolton Hall Museum in Tujunga. Attendees were welcomed by Sherri Smith, President of the Little Landers Historical Society. The Little Landers Historical Society (LLHS) is a nonprofit, volunteer organization that was founded in 1959 to preserve Bolton Hall.
LAAS and LAHA members filled the main room of the Museum and participated in lively discussions, updates, and announcements. The meeting also included an interactive and informative "SnapShot Messaging" workshop led by LAHA founder, John Bwarie. This workshop introduced talking points that members could use to engage and ignite interest for their organization to potential donors, volunteers, members, community members, or visitors.
The meeting ended with a self-paced tour of Bolton Hall and a bright look into future collaborations between these two organizations.
